Experiment with Lighting

Environmental Portraits:

I like this photo because of the fading blue sky in the background. Also, I like how the light reflects off the horses hair and gives it golden tones.

I like this picture because of the light pink dress flowing with the wind. Plus, the purple flowers framing the picture is cool and interesting.

Photography Self Portrait:

I liked this photo because her face isn't serious, but fun. It gives the picture a light-hearted feel.

I liked this picture because it shows the opposite of the first one. It's more serious and only shows half of her face. Giving the photo a more sad and stern feeling.

Casual Portrait:

I liked this picture because the solid black background gives the subject the main focus.

I like this photo because the wind is blowing her hair, making the picture a bit more interesting.

For my Portrait Project I will take pictures of one of my close friends, Camryn Cuchia, and I will shoot outside and around her house, including the nature in her backyard. To make my project successful, I will experiment with lighting and backgrounds mainly. I will incorporate other elements such as rule of thirds, leading lines, contrast, avoiding mergers, and more.
